You can’t know if it is sunset or sunrise. In fact it is both. The month of December in the north of Norway you don’t yet have the sun in the sky. From late November to late January Norway is engulfed by polar nights where the sun is always below the horizon. The contrast of the blue colors of the sky, the white snow and this burning pink color make everything feel unreal. This is a gift from nature that stay for hours in the sky and then abruptly be gone.
The region north of the Arctic Circle is known as the Artic. In this region, the sun is above the horizon for twenty-four continuous hours at least once a year (and therefore visible at midnight) and below the horizon for twenty-four continues hours at least once a year (and therefore not visible at noon).
The pictures have been taken in my small artic hometown town Vadsø in the winter time. Vadsø is a small town with a population of 6000 people. The reindeer is the main domestic animal in the region and it has a great economic importance. Don't be surprised if you see a reindeer crossing the road because the reindeers are walking free in nature even if each reindeer belongs to somebody.
A small hour in the middle of all these amazing colors in the sky and you will recharge your energy for months...

I’m Signe Nordli Becker and I grew up in a small artic town at the top of Norway, where you see reindeers on the road with Nordic Light moving in the sky.
