YLVAYA 2021 Collection

Scandinavian designs made of biscuit porcelain, which are carefully cut by hand.

My resource of inspiration is the nature which you can see through my designs.

Every piece in this collection has been carefully hand cut to ensure the sharpness of the thin lines on the edges. I use biscuit porcelain to achieve the matte appearance and textually represent the raw material. All the pieces are made in a small artisanal factory in Chaozhou where the knowledge of this trade has been maintained for over 2000 years. This is a small production where the mold need to be changed often because of the thin lines on each designs.

These jars can also be used for candles, as you can see the light passing through the hand-cut holes. Each piece is unique.
