YLVAYA Collection 2020/2021

The wonderful thing with biscuit porcelain is that it looks so fragile but in reality it is very strong

The third collection of YLVAYA also have the influence of nature as my other collections. Many of the elements of this collection are inspired by flowers as I started my career in design as a florist at a very young age.

Every piece in this collection has been carefully hand cut to ensure the sharpness of the thin lines on the edges. I use biscuit porcelain to achieve the matte appearance and textually represent the raw material.All the pieces are made in a small artisanal factory in Chaozhou where the knowledge of this trade has been maintained for over 2000 years.This is a small production where the mold need to be changed often because of the thin lines on each designs.
